Skiing in Kitzbühel
The Kitzbühel ski area nestles between the Kitzbüheler Horn and the Hahnenkamm between 800 and 2000 metres altitude. From the legendary ‘Streif’, to ideal terrain for beginners, the wider Kitzbühel ski area provides 188 km of well-tended ski slopes and 41 km of ski routes. As well as variety-packed pistes, countless cosy ski lodges are right at the slopes too. A ski area which exudes class and top marks from numerous ski portals – “KitzSki is calling!”
Cross-country skiing
Cross-country skiing introduces you to the peaceful side of Kitzbühel. More than 70 km of groomed trails for classic and skating cross-country enthusiasts offer a very special winter enjoyment. Some of them are even open in the evenig, due to perfect floodlight. All trails are free of charge for Kitzbühel guests.
Ski touring
The rolling hills of Kitzbühel provide ideal ski touring terrain. The mountain pastures and grass vegetation grow up to the summit of each mountain meaning perfect snow conditions can be enjoyed even with a snow depth of just 50cm. Ski touring enthusiastswill appreciate the good visibility and relatively low alpine dangers of the Kitzbühel Alps.

Summer
Hiking in Kitzbühel
Hiking is by far the most popular sport in Kitzbühel during the summer, because the resort with it’s network of well maintained trails is a true walkers paradise. More than 1000 km of trails are available to explore the colourful flower meows with their docile grazing cows, wide alpine pastures as well as the soft grass mountains that are characteristic for the area.
